Our primary goal is for children to experience God’s love for them through Jesus Christ. We also aim to teach, cultivate, and strengthen moral values while establishing a strong foundation for life. With staff who love children and desire to make a difference in each child entrusted to us, TWCC is a warm, safe, and loving environment. TWCC extends the Christian Education of First Presbyterian Church of Burbank, and is a self-supporting non-profit ministry of this church. We value a close relationship between school and home by encouraging parents to participate in events, field trips, and extra-curricular activities. THE STAFF Arianna Hansen is the Director of TWCC. She is from Seattle, WA, and has always known she’s wanted to be a teacher. She even taught her younger sister how to read at four years old! At CSU – Chico, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child development, where she also tutored and worked with children in low-income areas at after school programs. After college she moved to Southern California to begin her career. Arianna has worked with TWCC since August of 2012, and enjoys being part of the mission to provide a safe, loving place for your kids to be before and after school. We are committed to hiring well-qualified, trained staff members who work together to nurture, educate and provide quality care for each child. The staff of TWCC is characterized by its strength in leadership and child development skills. All staff and programs meet the California State requirements. ACTIVITIES OFFERED During the school year, TWCC provides theme-related curriculum that involves the arts, sports, cooking, and science. Some activities require registration and extra funding, while others are included in your set fees. These activities vary seasonally but have included things like ballet, piano, Italian, sports, etc. Summer Day Camp is open 6:30am to 6:00pm. Each week has a different theme and is filled with lessons and activities directly related to this theme. You can think of each week as a different VBS program for your child, but it is all in one place. Past themes have included Hawaiian, Olympics, Rock ‘n Roll, Jungle, and so many more. The summer fun kicks off with a BBQ and continues with two field trips each week of the summer.
