Global Citizen Kids - Cedar Avenue Preschool We are dedicated early childhood professionals who make every effort to respect, protect, and facilitate an appreciation of childhood! Our days are spent helping children play, explore, investigate, inquire, and learn. Our daily discovery based activities with children include: arts, crafts, science, technology, math, manipulatives, storytime, dramatic play, sensory play, outdoor classroom, gardening, diverse book exposure, global music & movement, yoga, block play, cooking activities, playground play, journal writing, clay play and studio time. At Global Citizen Kids - Cedar Avenue Preschool, we believe that children have an innate curiosity that compels them to explore their environment - gathering information to acquire new knowledge. Additionally, children are born ready, eager, and destined to learn. Global Citizen Kids provides them with the social support necessary in scaffolding this new knowledge.

In addition to providing a high quality preschool program for 2 to 6 year olds in a Reggio-Inspired environment, Global Citizen Kids is at its core a community organization. As such, Global Citizen Kids (GCK) seeks to promote global citizenship to children and their families through early childhood educational programs, creative arts instruction, diverse book story times and literacy events, music instruction, and other enrichment activities & programs. It is our goal to help foster appreciation, respect, and consciousness of our various world cultures. We believe that early exposure to arts and cultural programs stimulates young people's minds, and are an excellent way of building inclusive societies, promote personal growth, and helps to bridge social divides.
